Visit To Singapore Technology Society... Interest
In Rotating Floating Solar Power Technology,
More Than 15% Power Generation
Commercialized¡¦Universal Solar Panel Cleaning Technology
BK Energy Co., Ltd., a venture company in
Yeosu that has domestic rotary floating solar power generation technology, is
accelerating its efforts to target overseas markets.
According to BK Energy on the 13th, 27
members of Singapore's technological society recently visited BK Energy in
Yeosu at the invitation of the Korea Technological Society (Chairman Kim
Jae-kwon).
The visiting group visited the rotating
floating solar power plant, which BK Energy succeeded in commercializing
through government-funded R&D at the time.
Singapore is a country that imports
electricity and is known to be interested in environmentally friendly floating
solar power generation using idle land, including renewable energy projects.
After eight years of research, BK Energy
succeeded in commercializing a rotating solar power generation technology that
increases power generation by more than 15% by rotating the floating solar
power plant with a floating rotary shaft without constructing a file for
rotation for the first time in the world.
¡°In addition, in the case of solar power,
the buoyancy body is prone to cracking or wear when exposed to sunlight for a
long period of time, but the buoyancy body developed by BK Energy is a
technology that reduces the strength by less than 20% over 100 years, so it can
be used for more than 50 years¡±, a BK Energy official explained.
In particular, BK Energy's completely
inorganic nano-coating technology not only eliminates the need to clean solar
panels for 5 years, but also prevents the panels from being polluted by fine
dust or coarse dust, making it a unique technology that can produce more than
3% more solar power.
A BK Energy official said, "There is a
series of contract talks from companies that are looking to proceed with water
solar power plant projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, India,
Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Myanmar, as they were recently presented at the 2019
Malaysian Environmental Technology and Products Fair in Kuala Lumpur."
Park Young-sil, CEO of BK Energy, said,
"We have been promoting the business with a strong belief that even small
companies can manage the world with technology," adding, "Even if it
is difficult in the early stages of starting a business, if we make patents
with good ideas and commercialize those patents and develop them into stronger
technologies, the number of small and medium-sized companies that live for 100
or 200 years will increase further in Korea."
